3 week agoDrove all the way from Waikiki to eat here and it was well worth the drive. I'm disappointed at the lack of seating however, many people ate in their cars. The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful; honestly during the entire time we ate, we kept humming in approval lol! The scenic drive should be enough to hold off the hunger as you make your way to the North Shore. Would I come here again, ABSOLUTELY!

1 month agoBest Poke bowl I've ever tried. I tried the famous fried poke bowl with salmon. 100/10 this is definitely a place you don't wanna miss in Hawai'i. The rice combines so smoothly with the salmon and the sauces that gives you a slight kick of spice. This is the place I'll come back everytime I am in Oahu. If those pictures could smell, you would understand why the food is amazing and delicious.

2 month agoDawg, I had this a month ago and am still thinking about it all the time. For sure my favorite meal during our trip, maybe one of my favorite meals in memory. Bit on the pricier side, crowded due to it's popularity but it's worth it. The garlic shrimp and steak plate was perfect. No notes.

2 month agoDa Bald Guy food truck is an absolute gem! I ordered the boneless kalbi breakfast plate and the chopped steak breakfast plate, and both dishes AMAZING . The boneless kalbi was the star of the morning, perfectly marinated with that deep savory sweet flavor that kalbi lovers dream about. Every piece was unbelievably tender, practically melting like butter with each bite. The seasoning was balanced and bold without being overpowering, and the meat had that beautiful glossy finish that shows it was cooked with care. The chopped steak breakfast plate was just as impressive. The steak was juicy and flavorful, and covered in delicious caramelized onions. They were absolute fire. Rich, sweet, slightly smoky, and perfectly cooked, they tied the entire dish together and lifted every bite. The portions were huge, truly generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth. From flavor to portion size to quality, Da Bald Guy delivers big on every level. If you want breakfast plates that are hearty, satisfying, and full of incredible flavor, this food truck is a must try. Highly recommend!

3 month agoit took some time to get your food even tho there wasn’t a line but the food was great! We love the Braised Boneless Kalbi Beef, so tender and tasty!! Would come back just for this. We got combo of kalbi and furikaka crusted salmon it was enough for 2 people to share so we can try other food truck

3 month agoCame here for the first time with my friends. Ordered the Combo Plate with their Braised Kalbi and Peeled Garlic Buttered Shrimp and the Pan-Fried Poke plate. I also ordered their refreshing Mango Otai. The kalbi and shrimp plate were super flavorful and delicious. The kalbi was super tender, and the shrimp was sooo garlicky delish. The Otai was soooo good and refreshing. Definitely a must if you're on this side of town. The poke plate was pretty decent, nothing crazy about this plate. Overall, very delicious, but pretty expensive as well. You should definitely try this place out at least once or a bazillion times if you're rich lol. Staff is super friendly and helpful. There are a lot of tables throughout this who property but be respectful to the other establishments and their side of the lot. Restrooms are located across from this place and require a passcode to enter so be sure to ask one of the workers before heading over.

3 month agoThe Chipotle cajun butter shrimp was by far the best shrimp I've eaten on the island and anywhere. The kalbi beef is so tender you don't even need teeth to chew it. Portions are good sized. I would have drove from waikiki to north shore just to eat there a second time but they were closed the day we had the opportunity. That's the combo plate in the picture.

3 month agoSo many food trucks in this area but da bald guy stands out! Delicious food, quick service, good prices. Would definitely recommend!! Had to get seconds of their pasta salad. (Other food in photo is poke from superette!)
